Popular American television host Johnny Carson on his life show TV in 1973, joked that the country’s in crisis, and production of toilet paper and its stock in stores are rapidly declining. This provoked people to run down their local stores and buy all the toilet paper available. This, caused a real shortage of toilet papers. Although Carson apologized the next day, it was too late. An acute shortage of this product on the market was felt for another three weeks.
